is pleased to bring you
HOUSE OF DAVID… DELARIA+BOWIE = JAZZ
by Lea DeLaria
One Night Only!
Sunday July 31st at 8pm

Cambridge, Mass.— OBERON, the American Repertory Theater’s destination for theater and nightlife on the fringe of Harvard Square, is bringing exciting and original programming to the space in 2011. The home of the A.R.T.’s hit productions of The Donkey Show, Cabaret and Prometheus Bound, OBERON also presents the work of local and visiting talent. For one night only, OBERON presents HOUSE OF DAVID… DELARIA+BOWIE=JAZZ, featuring Lea DeLaria singing the hits of David Bowie on Sunday, July 31st.
WHAT: Lea DeLaria, one of the stars of the A.R.T.’s Prometheus Bound, has distinguished herself in every form of entertainment that she touches: jazz musician, Broadway diva, actor, writer and stand-up comic. It is plain to see why Ben Brantley of the New York Times describes her as “every inch a star.” In 1997 she landed the lead in the Broadway revival of On the Town, turning her from a comic who sang into a singer who is funny. Countless concerts, movies, stand up specials and 4 Warner Brothers records later she is ready to present this fantastic evening. DeLaria gave you the acclaimed reinventions of “The Ballad of Sweeney Todd” and Blondie’s “Call Me,” and now brings a brand new look at one of pop music’s most enduring singer songwriters, David Bowie.
WHEN: Sunday, July 31st. Doors open at 7:30pm. Show at 8pm
TICKETS: $20
WHERE: OBERON is located at 2 Arrow Street at the corner of Mass Ave. in Harvard Square.
